Haim in Hollywood Dec. 19

LA sister trio HAIM will be returning home to headline the Troubadour on Wednesday, December 19th (8pm). The girls are currently on a sold-out European tour behind their new single 'Don't Save Me/Send Me Down' (Solid Gold). http://stereogum.com/1197382/haim-send-me-down/mp3s/

Earlier this summer, they were hand picked by Mumford & Sons to tour with them, including shows with St. Vincent, Dawes, Justin Townes Earle and more, and they'll be joining them again for a US tour in February.

Alana, Este and Danielle Haim grew up in a family band, influenced by Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks as much as 90's R&B like TLC. They played a much talked-about set of performances at this year's SXSW in the wake of self-releasing their 'Forever' EP and headed to Europe shortly after. Ryan Adams joined them on stage for a recent show in LA and they opened for The xx at the Henry Fonda Theater, which Rolling Stone said was, "exhilarating...folkie harmonies over R&B rhythms, spiced up with bursts of New Wave keyboards and improbably epic guitar solos. The HAIM sisters commanded the stage with the boho confidence of three clones of Jessa from Girls." They'll be releasing their debut full-length in 2013.
