LUIS ALFARO is a writer/performer who has been working in theater, performance, poetry and journalism since 1982. A Chicano born and raised in the Pico-Union district of downtown Los Angeles, Luis is the recipient of a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation fellowship. His plays and performances have been seen throughout the U.S., Canada, England, France and Romania and include Bruja, Oedipus El Rey,Electricidad, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Black Butterfly, down town and No Holds Barrio. He is published in over 25 anthologies, has a solo spoken word CD and was Emmy nominated for his short film, Chicanismo on PBS.

Alina Simone was born in the Ukraine and is a singer and writer based in Brooklyn. Her body of music includes an EP, Prettier in the Dark and albums Placelessness, Everyone is Crying Out to Me, Beware and Make Your Own Danger. "You Must Go and Win" is her first book. Her first novel "Note to Self", will be released in July of 2013

Mike O’Connell is an unforgettable comic performer who hails from Chicago. For the last eight years Mike has lived in LA where he has graced many of the premier clubs and attracted a sizable fan base. Rolling Stone Magazine and Variety have called Mike the hot comedian to watch. Mike has appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Late Show and Comedy Central’s “The World Stands Up.” Mike is a regular literary combatant at Write Club at the Bootleg

Tai Carmen is a Portland-based writer, editor and musician. Finishing Line Press released Pollen, her first book of poems, in 2011. She writes the top ranking blog,PARALLAX: Exploring the Architecture of Human Perception, and moonlights as singer for indie electro band, Sugar in Wartime.
