Donots to tour with Flogging Molly and Anti-Flag

GERMANY'S DONOTS
ANNOUNCE US TOUR SUPPORTING FLOGGING MOLLY AND ANTI-FLAG
“It took us more than 18 years to come over and tour the US decently, so we’re very excited to finally play all those cities we haven’t been to before and hopefully make a lot of new friends,” says vocalist Ingo Knollman of German pop punk band DONOTS - surprising for a band who has toured with the likes of Rancid, Blink-182, Green Day, NoFX, Iggy Pop, Weezer, Rise Against and Jimmy Eat World. Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, they will be touring with the U.S. in support of their ninth album Wake The Dogs (Ok! Good Records)

Kicking on March 7th at San Diego’s House of Blues, the band will circle around the West Coast and Southwest with Flogging Molly before playing Anti-Flag's anniversary shows on March 18th and 19th at LA's Troubadour and trekking out to Brooklyn’s St. Vitus in late March. More dates will be added soon (tour dates below). A band who has not only won the hard-earned respect of fans worldwide but also of their peers in other bands, Donots have perfected their blend of metal, melodic hardcore, and old-fashioned punk to a fevered pitch. Influential rock siteSing To This called Wake The Dogs “…as quintessentially punk as it gets,” whileStove&Jamz praised it “as ‘punk’ as any post-Nimrod Green Day.”

Born in 1993 in Ibbenbüren, Germany, Donots have spent the last two decades building a well-anchored reputation in the international punk community, touring with numerous of their punk contemporaries. “Not all German bands sound like the Scorpions,” says Ingo cheekily. “We won't be bringing any cuckoo clocks or sauerkraut (although we have to admit it does taste quite okay when made completely vegetarian!).”  Combining the fiercely anarchic sounds of The Clash and Bad Religion and crafting the German version out of borst and bier, these five stalwarts are ready to fly the German punk flag high and strong here in the US. “We're really proud of our new album Wake The Dogs and I hope that the American Kids will like our songs just as much as we do!”
