The Rift announces release of their first full length album “2012” now available oniTunes– the album leads off with the well sewn up single “Sweet Affliction”. The self described hard, dark and edgy rock band is reminiscent of other heavily guitar weighted bands such as 30 seconds to Mars, Story of The Year, and Avenged Sevenfold.
The Rift’s uniqueness begins with 3 guitar players that use finger lights through all of their intricate fret work to make for a captivating live show and their chemistry where they feed off the energy of all of the band members collectively. There is no half way for these performers, they give it their all for every show. They are also pros at engaging with their fans between songs which is just a few reasons why their fan base is growing exponentially.
They recently performed at The Viper Room, the LA Coliseum prior to the USC/Cal game, House of Blues (where the Band not only packed the Parrish room but received a standing ovation for an encore afterwards) and at the LA County Fair Battle of the Bands; all these gis kept the boys quite busy at the end of 2012. With those triumphs under their belt, the Band is going no holds barred in 2013.
Next, they are on to San Diego, CA playingThursday January 24thatQueen Bee’s3925 Ohio Street inSan Diego, CA. The show starts at 6:30pm and is for all ages. Tickets are available to the show atAfton. I live for adventure! I've been in rock bands, movies, plays and on TV. I adore animals, motorcycles get my heart racing and I also have a passion for sushi and ice cream (not at the same time). I was the Queen of the 31st Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. I am also a professional belly dancer (swords are my speciality), a Polynesian/Tahitian dance student and a full-time journalist. Here, I'll share some of my life- who I meet and where I go in the music scene, as well as music news, and any other intriguing people, places and things I come across. **PLEASE NOTE: Here I will also post excerpts from press releases I receive with information on upcoming entertainment events and news.** Welcome and keep on rockin'!
