In celebration of International Kissing Day, Saturday July 6th, LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics is teaming up with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® in an effort to break the record of the most “kiss prints” collected in 12 consecutive hours. These won’t just be any kisses, but cruelty free, as we believe all kisses should be!
Last year, LUSH worked with the Humane Society International and Humane Society of the U.S. to collect thousands of signatures in support of a ban on animal testing in North America. Our commitment to fighting animal testing led us to launch the LUSH Prize, a £250,000 annual prize that’s independently managed by Ethical Consumer and rewards cruelty-free advances in science, research, campaigning, and public awareness.
This summer, we want to educate our loyal customers on the importance of choosing safe cosmetics that are never tested on animals and use the finest ethically sourced ingredients. We want to spread the LUSH love across the globe by kissing up a storm and becoming a part of history!
Select Los Angeles-area LUSH stores (City Walk, Anaheim, Carmel, & Santa Monica) are asking the public to lend their lips on Saturday, July 6th between to take part in this record-breaking attempt! The current record LUSH is attempting to break was set by Oriflame Slovakia, who collected 22,174 lipstick prints in 12 hours on September 14, 2010.
LUSH has everything to make the perfect cruelty-free kiss! Pucker up with our vegan line of liquid lipsticks from the Emotional Brilliance collection ($18.95/each). Proudly celebrating its first birthday this year, Emotional Brilliance will be featured front and center to help you create the perfect cruelty-free kiss!
Can’t stop by the store? You can still participate and support us online. Using Instagram and Twitter, we are asking fans to show us their best cruelty-free kiss! Take a photo of your kiss, tag it with #crueltyfreekisses and you will be in with a chance to win an entire Emotional Brilliance collection. That’s a lot of #crueltyfreekisses!
