Kraft launces grilled cheese video contest

To many, the grilled cheese sandwich is a symbol of simplicity and happiness. Now Kraft Singles is giving grilled cheese lovers the chance to share their happy moments with the Kraft Singles "Have A Happy Sandwich" video contest launching on MySpace at www.myspace.com/haveahappysandwich
The contest invites people to create their own 10- to 15-second interpretation of a Kraft Singles "Have A Happy Sandwich" commercial.
Participants are encouraged to use their favorite creative mediums, such as illustration, video, animation, music and even comedy. One winner will receive $50,000 and the chance to see his or her video brought to life as a national commercial.
"In a complex world, we're all searching for simple, uncomplicated joys,like the happy moments created by a delicious grilled cheese sandwich made with Kraft Singles," said Jane Hilk, vice president of marketing for Cheese & Dairy at Kraft Foods. "We look forward to learning what Americans love about grilled cheese through the 'Have A Happy Sandwich'video contest."
Kraft Singles' new television advertising campaign, "Have A HappySandwich," debuted Oct. 1. The unique, film-like television ads -created by artists, illustrators and animators - showcase the simple joys of grilled cheese sandwiches in a fun, modern way.

ABOUT THE CONTEST
From Oct. 15 to Nov. 12, 2007, consumers can visit www.myspace.com/haveahappysandwich to upload 10- to 15-second "Have A Happy Sandwich" videos*. Visitors may vote for their favorite video outof five finalists Nov. 26 to Dec. 10, 2007, with the video receiving the most votes announced at the end of December. In addition to the $50,000prize, the winner may see his or her video realized as a national commercial. Every week during the contest Kraft also will award a digital video camera to randomly selected MySpace "Friends" of the Kraft Singles "HaveA Happy Sandwich."
The page will also house fun extras such as a downloadable MySpace theme, page badge and desktop screensaver.
"The grilled cheese is a classic that's long been loved by people ofall ages," added Hilk. "In fact, Americans enjoy more than 2 billion grilledcheese sandwiches each year. We'd like Americans to join us in taking a fresh and fun look at one of their favorite at-home foods by expressing themselves in one of their favorite online communities."
