THE COLOR FRED--the brainchild of FRED MASCHERINO, former lead guitarist and co-songwriter for Taking Back Sunday and Breaking Pangaea--will be in the Los Angeles-area for two shows--Tue, Nov 27 in Los Angeles @ the El Rey and Wed, Nov 28 in Pomona @ the Glasshouse with Straylight Run--in support of his debut full length album BEND TO BREAK.

Out October 30 via Equal Vision Records, BEND TO BREAK is an accomplished and conscience-invading song-cycle written by Mascherino--who also plays all guitar and bass parts--and produced by the legendary Lou Giordano (Paul Westerberg, Sunny Day Real Estate),

The green-conscious MASCHERINO will release the final version of BEND TO BREAK with a CD case made of 80% recycled plastic, booklet made of 100% recycled material, and an inlay tray made of biodegradable cornstarch. In addition to the green-friendly packaging, MASCHERINO bought carbon offsets for the recording of the album and plans to offset the band’s tour.
