Greetings and salutations to all of our Sin City Social Club members! Things are pretty damn busy round these parts... Really looking forward to the blessings and adventures that 2008 has in store for all of us. We’re involved with a bunch of great projects this year (beautiful new Allison Moorer & Tift Merritt records coming in February, Collin Herring’s new record coming this spring, Tim Easton has been busy in the studio – can’t wait to hear what he’s got up his sleeve! Jesse Dayton & Brennen Leigh continue to climb the Americana charts and Holdin’ Our Own has been receiving some amazing attention from the press - and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! We’re fortunate to be surrounded by the most talented artists on the planet and we thank you for being a part of our community.
I figured there’s no time like the present to share with you some of the other things we’re preparing for right now. Gearing up for Grammy Week in Los Angeles where we’ve got a ton of extended friends and family who are nominated for awards this year!
We’ll be hosting a GRAMMY PARTY on Sunday, Feb. 10th at The Mint and we’ll be there in full force for the YEP ROC GRAMMY SHOWCASE on Friday, Feb. 8th featuring JIM LAUDERDALE, PETER CASE and DOYLE BRAMHALL!

Also, we’ve just begun putting together our next sampler (Sin City Social Club Vol. 10 – can you believe it?!) slated to be released in March – just in time for SXSW.
Speaking of which – the Annual Sin City Social Club day party is shaping up to be one of the best yet! If you’re plannin’ on being here in Austin, we’ll see you FRIDAY, March 14th (1-8 pm) at our home away from home - Maria’s Taco Xpress!
Look for an announcement in the coming week or so about our complete line up. (wink)This year we’ll also be throwing another party during the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, Ca the first weekend in May, we’ll be hanging out at the 35th Annual Topanga Days Festival May 24th, 25th & 26th (Memorial Day Weekend) AND we’ll have a Sin City stage at this years Ink & Iron Festival on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, June 6th, 7th & 8th!
For those frequent travelers out there... if you happen to be on CONTINENTAL AIRLINES be sure to tune into the country channel. SIN CITY hosts a show that will keep you entertained while you’re flyin’ the friendly skies. We pride ourselves on bringin’ you the “best of the west” ...

In other news...The Americana Music Association announced the new Board of Directors today...and for those who participated in the election, I personally want to thank you for your vote of confidence!
AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2008-2009 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Americana Music Association announced today the results of the annual elections for their Board of Directors. Nine incoming directors have been elected to the board for 2008-2009.Re-elected for new terms are Ray Kennedy in the artist category, New Frontier Touring owner Paul Lohr in the booking agent slot, John Allen of Bug Music in the music publishing panel, KNBT's Mattson Rainer in radio and Rounder Record’s Brad Paul in the At Large category. New board members include JT Turner of Thirty Tigers in the New Media category, Avenue Bank's Van Tucker in the banking/finance category and Sin City's Shilah Morrow and industry veteran Tim DuBois in the At Large category.
