More tickets available for Black Crowes

For the first time in their 18-year career, The Black Crowes have been on tour performing an album of theirs in its entirety. The special run of seven “One Night Only” shows features their new critically acclaimed album “Warpaint” performed live as well as songs from their extensive catalog and surprise covers. Tickets for each of the exclusive shows sold out within minutes, with some of the venues reporting record times.

The Black Crowes’ final US "Warpaint" show will be moved to The Wiltern, making a limited number of additional tickets available for fans. The move is due to the overwhelming demand, the spectacular response these shows have been receiving and the nonstop calls from fans in Los Angeles where tickets for the band’s March 20th appearance sold out instantly.

"As with all of The Black Crowes dates on the limited run of their One-Night Only “Warpaint” Tour, the show sold out immediately, and the phones have been ringing non-stop ever since,” said Greg Siegel, Vice President of Booking, LA office of Live Nation. “Following the instant sell out, we approached the band to inquire about moving the show to The Wiltern to accommodate the overwhelming demand. We are pleased that the band have agreed to move to a larger venue for this very special concert."

The newly released tickets will go on-sale Friday, March 14th at 10 AM PST. All tickets previously sold for The Avalon will be honored at The Wiltern as is, with no need for exchange. Doors at The Wiltern (3790 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA) will open at 7:30 PM on March 20th and the show will start at 9:00PM. All tickets are general admission.

Shows earlier this month in New Jersey, New York, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta have received rave reviews. According to Jonathan Perry who reviewed the March 5th show for THE BOSTON GLOBE, “the Crowes were in full flight: a humming phalanx of guitars, bass, drums, and keys, flexing and stretching together as one muscle, one throbbing groove.”

Nate Chinen of THE NEW YORK TIMES wrote, "...the end result of the full-album treatment was extremely effective..."

The new album, “Warpaint,” has also received critical acclaim.

David Fricke wrote in this month’s ROLLING STONE feature on The Black Crowes, “(Warpaint) Eleven tracks of brawny Southern rock and psychedelic R&B ecstasy…” and Alan Light from ROLLING STONE reviewed, "...some of the best range and craft of the band's career."

Anthony DeCurtis wrote in a recent issue of RELIX magazine that “Warpaint” is “The group’s most confident and instantly appealing album since the raw, raucous “Shake Your Money Maker” first brought the group national attention in 1990.”

“Warpaint” is the band’s first album of all new studio material in seven years. The collection also marks the recording debut of two new band members – guitarist Luther Dickinson and keyboardist Adam MacDougall – who join Chris Robinson, Rich Robinson, Steve Gorman and Sven Pipien.

After wrapping up their select US tour dates, the band will appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on March 21st before they head off to Australia, New Zealand, London and Amsterdam.
