GREETINGS to Dancers and Friends of the Sunday evening SHIMMY SHOWCASE!

Everyone is invited to come out, have a cup of Java, munch on something yummy and enjoy some really great dancing FOR FREE!

Below is our upcoming schedule for the next several Sundays at the Coffee Haven Internet Cafe in Long Beach. If you are a dancer interested in performing at an upcoming showcase, we still have openings on April 6 and beyond! Please check out the schedule below for open dates and then email us at

The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).

March 9: Our coordinator is Alexiis and she will be introducing Isabel and Maria-Zahira and joined by Saphira and Kalila for a dazzling evening of top-notch dancing. Don’t miss this exciting show because we’ll be dark for the two weeks to follow!

March 16: NO SHOWCASE—It’s Rakassa weekend

March 23: NO SHOWCASE—Happy Easter

March 30: Join us for a very special evening at the Coffee Haven as we celebrate ShimmyShowcase’s 5th Anniversary and the coming of Spring. Shimmyshowcase founder Alexiis proudly presents troupe Ban Dal, Katerina, and guest dancers!

April 6: The theme for the night is "Red Hot" and your coordinator Xandra will take you through an evening of sizzling performances by Kamar, Delilah, Meryem Vani, Abraiha, Henrietta, and Karina.

April 13: Coordinator Saviya and Renata & Debra will entertain you with this evening, but Saviya is looking for more dancers, so if you’d like to be part of the fun, please contact Saviya or email us (ShimmyShowcase@yahoogroups.com) to perform!

April 20: Katherine the Great is looking for some dancers to shimmy across Coffee Haven’s magic carpet. If you’d like to be part of this enchanted group, please contact us at ShimmyShowcase@yahoogroups.com.

April 27: Alexiis will be accompanied by her talented students in a dazzling rendition of American Tribal style bellydancing. They will be joined by Melaina and other dancers to be determined. If you’d like to be one of them, please contact us (ShimmyShowcase@yahoogroups.com) to perform!

Please allow time for parking to avoid missing any of the fun, so be sure to be at the coffee house well before 7:00 PM. We try not to start the show until everyone has settled with a tasty beverage.
