Shimmy Showcase Sunday

GREETINGS to Dancers and Friends of the Sunday evening SHIMMY SHOWCASE at Coffee Haven Internet Cafe in Long Beach, CA!

Shimmyshowcase blossoms this Sunday as Xandra steps out of the administrator shadows to be coordinator, presenting Mara Lena with her troupe Blossoms of the East. Add to that the ever-lively Delilah to round out another great evening of dance and camaraderie at Coffee Haven.

Everyone is invited to come out, have a cup of Java, munch on something yummy and enjoy some really great dancing FOR FREE!

The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).

August 17: Xandra is pleased to present Delilah and MaraLena with troupe Blossoms of the East for this Shimmyshowcase.

August 24: Abraiha presents Saphira and Gaea, and introduces two new (to Shimmyshowcase) dancers May and Mia. Why not come down and spend the last weekend in August enjoying the friendly folks and dazzling dancers at Coffee Haven?

August 31: No Shimmyshowcase this Holiday weekend. Have a great Labor Day!

September 7: Saviya, Shimmyshowcase coordinator for this evening, is pleased to present Shimmyshowcase founder Katerina and the Kabuki Dolls, as well as former Shimmyshowcase coordinator Kashmir with live music! This will be a great program you won’t want to miss!

September 14: Alexiis presents Reina, Sylvia and students for another exciting Shimmyshowcase. We might be able to squeeze in one more dancer, so if you would like to perform, please contact us at ShimmyShowcase@yahoogroups.com

September 21: It’s the first “official” day of autumn; the fall equinox where daylight and nighttime hours are balanced. Shimmy showcase is a great place to stay balanced if you’re a dancer or simply watch some fabulous dancing as part of our fantastic audience. Xandra welcomes the lovely Yasmin and introduces Samia and Zahava as our star performers this evening. September 28: Saviya once again returns with another great show featuring live music and great dancing!

October 5: Abraiha will be your coordinator for this evening’s Shimmyshowcase, and she seeks dancers who would like to perform. If you’re interested, please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com.

October 12: Your coordinator Saviya brings more live music with Fernan Cobian and dancing by Ritchie and others for another fabulous showcase. Rumor has it that this showcase will be Gothic-inspired....

Please allow time for parking to avoid missing any of the fun, so be sure to be at the coffee house well before 7:00 PM. We try not to start the show until everyone has settled with a tasty beverage.
