Warren Eckstein to host Petcentric Cafe pet advice show and help homeless pets

Renowned pet expert Warren Eckstein is now hosting Petcentric Café, a live, weekly call-in show on SIRIUS’ Martha Stewart Living Radio on which Eckstein helps dog and cat owners get into the minds of their pets and provides advice on how to relate to each other and live in perfect harmony.

Pet owners can tune into Petcentric Café, made possible by Purina ONE, Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. EST on Martha Stewart Living Radio, SIRIUS Channel 112 and Channel 103 on XM.

Some of the questions Eckstein addresses on the show are: Why does your cat sleep on your head? What does your dog think when you brag about him? How do your pets feel when you use them as date bait? These are just some of the questions that will be answered on Petcentric Café, a paws-itively new radio show hosted by Warren Eckstein, internationally known animal expert, author and radio host.

Pets’ Points-of-View
Warren Eckstein is a well-respected pet expert with more than 30 years of experience in teaching both pets and their people to live happily together through his unique "Hugs and Kisses" approach to animal behavior, care and training. With show topics ranging from how to analyze pets’ emotions, stress and phobias to discussing how to solve common behavioral problems, all told from the pets’ points-of-view, Eckstein will help listeners get inside the minds of Fido and Fluffy each week, helping humans and pets cohabitate happily.

“On Petcentric Café we’ll address the topics that matter most to you and your dogs and cats. It’s a place where pet owners can come together to talk, listen and share stories about everything from relationships to health concerns,” said Eckstein. “I hope our discussions will help everyone get into the habit of thinking like their pets and teach them to communicate more effectively to strengthen their relationships.”

Hope for a Home
Purina ONE and Petcentric Café are also supporting the newly launched One Hope Network, a movement dedicated to increasing pet adoptions into permanent homes by aligning with the mission of animal welfare organizations to make a difference for life with pets. Purina ONE is encouraging Americans to support the network by getting involved with volunteering at local shelters, adopting a pet and making a permanent home for the new family member.

As part of each installment of the Petcentric Café radio show, Eckstein will feature a “Story of Hope” from the One Hope Network, which will shine a light on "second chance" pets and share each animal's personality, quirks and story with listeners. In addition to these inspirational stories, Purina ONE will offer educational information to help adopters make good decisions and deal with common problems.
