The Pasadena Conservatory of Music is now accepting enrollment in an exciting new class offered by composer and guitarist Carlos Rafael Rivera. The Music of Cuba and Latin America is a six-week course that will explore the emergence and history of one of the world's most vibrant musical cultures. The class will mainly focus on the music of Cuba from its earliest beginnings to current trends.
Join instructor Rivera in an exploration of the origins of danzones, sones, rumba, latin jazz and more.
Class meets 10 am every Wednesday from January 21 to February 25. Tuition for the class is $165. Call 626-683-3355 for information.
