BIOGRAPHY
Chris Ryan, a 17 year-old singer/songwriter from Grand Terrace, California will perform at The Best Buy Pasadena store on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 3:00 pm. The concert is sponsored by the Best Buy Musical Instrument Stores.
His songs, mostly acoustic, are heartfelt and passionate. Chris writes all of his own music and lyrics. His songs about life and love, though written by a teenager are remarkably poignant and mature. In addition to his talents as a singer/songwriter he is also a multi-talented instrumentalist, Ryan plays not only guitar but drums and bass as well. In 2007, while only 15 he toured the US for six weeks with the hardcore band XDeathstarX playing bass. He rejoined the band for a brief period on their 2008 tour playing drums.
Though he has only been writing music for a little over a year, Ryan has already experienced great success. He was a featured artist on the Paste/American Airlines in-flight radio show in October and December and his song, "Did You Know" was featured on "General Hospital: Nighshift" in August 2008.
This is only the beginning for Chris Ryan and his music. He has the talent, originality and musicality that will set him above the rest of the crowd. With so much under his belt at the early age of 17, this artist is sure to be around for many years to come.
