Fans can vote for George Strait, Julianne Hough and more to win Country Music Awards

For the first time in the history of the Academy of Country Music, fans can vote online in the Entertainer of the Year category.

ABOUT GEORGE STRAIT:
Since his debut in 1981, the 'King of Country" George Strait has sold more than 62 million records and counting. With 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums, he's earned the second most certifications of any artist in any genre, following only Elvis Presley. George has 78 ACM nominations in total (with 19 wins) and has also been named this year as 'Artist of the Decade' by the Academy of Country Music. The award will be given to him during the filming of a television special paying tribute to him that will be filmed in Las Vegas on April 6th, the day after the ACM Awards show. In addition, George has 2009 ACM nominations for Entertainer of the Year (10th nomination), Top Male Vocalist (his 18th nomination), Song of the Year ('I Saw God Today'), Video of the Year ('Troubadour') and Vocal Event of the Year for his collaboration with Kenny Chesney on "Shiftwork".

Mercury Nashville recording artist and two-time Dancing With The Stars champion Julianne Hough (pronounced “Huff”) recently topped both the country and Top 200 charts with her self-titled album, as well as with the infectious debut single “That Song In My Head”. This year has taken Hough on tour with Brad Paisley, awarded her an Emmy nomination, led her to the stages of Good Morning America and The View, seen her top Maxim’s Hot 100 list and grace the covers of CosmoGirl, Shape, USA Today and People. Hough sings “The Taste Is Gonna Move Ya” jingle for Wrigley’s™ Juicy Fruit gum and supports Clothes Off Our Back, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and St. Jude.

Actually Julianne's debut album only topped the country charts for one week. It never got to the top of the pop charts and her single "That Song In My Head" also did not top any chart at all.

She also is a professional on Dancing with the Stars and did not win twice by herself. Her celebrity partners, Apolo Ohno and Helio Castroneves were the stars whom the viewers voted for mainly. Not Julianne. She's an awesome professional dancer, choreographer with a good shot at a music career as well.
