Prince to perform on "Tonight Show" for three consecutive nights

Six-time Grammy® winner Prince will perform on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for an unprecedented three consecutive nights on March 25, 26 and 27 in support of his forthcoming CD releases. No other music artist has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno more than two-nights in a row. In his last appearance, Prince not only performed an unreleased song, but surprised everyone when he returned for two private encores playing “Guitar” and the classic “1999” to a standing studio audience.

In addition, Prince will join Leno to celebrate the end of his run as the host of the Tonight Show by performing on his next to the last show on Thursday, May 28th. Leno’s last night of hosting The Tonight Show will be on Friday, May 29th.

In light of the tough economic times, Prince and Target have partnered to give the fans new music for the very reasonable price of $11.98 for three discs. Prince’s two new studio albums LOtUSFLOW3R and MPLSoUND will be bundled with new artist Bria Valente’s breakout album, Elixer, beginning on Sunday, March 29th.

On Monday, March 9th, Prince released a somewhat cryptic email message to fans indicating that he intends to continue to support the album releases later in the month:

Since his debut in 1978, Prince has had numerous hits on the Billboard Charts. From the moment he stepped onto the music scene, he has captivated fans with his continual reinvention as an artist and remains one of the most celebrated performers of all time.
