Hollywood Makeover allows you to try celeb looks online

As part of its mission to make celebrity style accessible to women everywhere, InStyle.com today launched a new interactive tool, Hollywood Makeover (InStyle.com/makeover). Users can upload their photos and experiment 24/7: It’s a free, fun, easy way to try on hundreds of the hottest hairdos and lip, skin and eye colors – all in an instant!

For the ultimate in glamorous transformations, users can try on the complete hair-and-makeup looks of their favorite stars such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Lively, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Aniston.

InStyle.com worked with leading celebrity beauty experts – including Mary Burton, who did Angelina Jolie’s makeup for Golden Globes and Fulvia Farolfi, who created Sandra Bullock’s March InStyle cover look – to provide users with the insider tips and tricks needed to achieve these sexy, modern looks.

"On a daily basis, InStyle.com provides unparalleled access to the best of celebrity fashion and beauty,” said Fran Hauser, President, Digital, Time Inc. Style and Entertainment Group. “Nowhere else on the Web can women have a more fun, engaging experience shopping for product and experimenting with so many on-trend looks.”

Developed in response to the overwhelming success of InStyle.com’s hair try-on tool (over 76 million hair try-ons since launch in November 2007), Hollywood Makeover features complete hair and makeup looks from recent red carpet events and InStyle covers, in addition to over 200 star hairstyles. Users can try on products from over 100 brands, then purchase online by clicking through to a retailer.

Launch partners Clinique and Cover Girl will be the first to leverage this highly engaging beauty opportunity on InStyle.com. Custom integration allows users to try on and purchase sponsored products from launch partners.

The tool was created in partnership with TAAZ, a San Diego-based technology company.
