The marriage of samba and choro dates back to the 30's and 40's when choro musicians hired by radio stations accompanied the great singers of the day. In the 1970s, Brazilian samba icons Cartola, Beth Carvalho, Roberto Ribeiro and others cut records with choro musicians, and many classics from that era will be featured, along with a a few chorinhos in a night of Brazilian roots music.

Also, mark your calendars: we are excited to be part of the
Healdsburg Jazz Festival on May 31 and the L.A. County Museum of Art Latin Sounds concert on June 6.

Details at http://falsobaiano.com/calendar.

Hope to see you there!
