Jim Curry in Washington and Altadena

Dear Musical Friends,

Despite the slow economics, people are making an effort to treat themselves to the things that make them feel better, that means our concerts are still showing very good ticket sales. Why not? We all work hard and need a break from our worries. John Denver music makes us feel good, it's good for our health, and it's good for the soul.

Our very first symphony concert was everything we had hoped for and more. 2,700 people filled the hall, and the symphony sounded incredible! It was a dream-come-true to perform with Lee Holdridge conducting his original scores, and always a pleasure to perform with Richie Garcia (drums), Pete Huttlinger (Guitar & Banjo), Chris Wills (piano) and Diane Ireland (flutes). A newcomer to our entourage, Tristan Garcia (yes, Richie's son) amazed us all with his talented bass playing. Jim sang his heart out and the audience responded with a standing ovation- we couldn't have asked for more.

Now we are preparing for our concert this weekend at the Little Creek Resort and Casino in Shelton, Washington on Saturday, April 25. If you have friends up that way be sure and let them know about this concert. The entertainment manager at Little Creek used to work at the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, and he is hoping that our success in bringing sell out crowds to the Silverton will carry over to his theater in Little Creek. See our website for details

After that, another show with Jim and I at the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena, California, Monday, May 18. They raised the price to $18.00. We sold out our last show at the Coffee Gallery, so RSVP (626) 398-7917. This is a VERY SMALL PLACE. Also, be sure to show up if you RSVP, or your chair will sit empty! I'll be taking song requests for another week, so e-mail your request to me (just reply to this letter) if you are going to come and you want to hear a specific John Denver tune. This might be our last show at the Coffee Gallery for awhile because we just got some new CRUISE CONTRACTS, see our website for details.

Thank you one and all for your continued support!

Your friend,
Anne Curry
