Dr. Vincenza Scarpaci to talk at the Pasadena Museum of History Thursday

Dr. Vincenza Scarpaci presents an illustrated tour of Italian-American communities in her book The Journey of the Italians in America -- a photographic approach towards unraveling the history and legacy of Italians in the United States. Since the beginning of the new Republic, millions have immigrated here, bringing with them a distinct set of beliefs, traditions, and customs.

This lecture and is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Family Stories: Sharing a Community’s Legacy, which is on view through January 10, 2010 at Pasadena Museum of History.

The exhibition will be open for viewing beginning at 6:30 pm; reception and book signing immediately following lecture. Books will be available for purchase.
