Smokey Robinson and Colbie Caillat to appear on A&E's "Private Sessions"

Join A&E and host Lynn Hoffman as “Private Sessions” hosts the King of Motown, Smokey Robinson on Sunday, September 27th at 9AM ET/PT and acoustic pop artist Colbie Caillat on Sunday, October 4th at 9AM ET/PT.

On Sunday, September 27 at 9AM ET/PT “Private Sessions” will feature a special live-to-tape performance by the King of Motown, Smokey Robinson, as he performs his legendary hits, “Going To A Go-Go,” “Second That Emotion,” “Being With You,” “Just To See Her” and his cover of “Don’t Know Why” off his new album, Time Flies When You’re Having Fun, before a live audience of thousands. He’ll then sit down with host Lynn Hoffman for an exclusive interview, where he’ll discuss performing with The Miracles and creating the Motown sound in the 1960s with Motown founder Berry Gordy - who makes a special guest appearance - his successful solo career, and the intimate details of his friendship with Michael Jackson and how his death has affected him and his hopes for Michael’s children.

On Sunday, October 4 at 9AM ET/PT, acoustic pop star Colbie Caillat visits the “Private Sessions” studio to share her number one hits, “Fearless,” “Begin Again,” “Bubbly,” “Realize” and “Fallin' For You.” She discusses trying out for and being denied from “American Idol” and her personal and professional friendship with the series judge Kara Dioguardi, who co-wrote songs on Colbie’s new album Breakthrough, and who will also make a guest appearance along with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.

Filmed in a small, intimate studio in New York City, “Private Sessions” showcases exclusive performances and conversations with top names in entertainment with a focus on contemporary music ranging from rock ‘n’ roll to pop to country. Each Sunday morning “Private Sessions” explores the body of work of a single artist or group and feature current releases as well as career-building, influential or defining projects.
