Kids 4 Kids 5K run/walk and all star carnival set for April 25 in LA

Youth celebrities team up with Children’s Cancer Research Fund at the 5th Annual Kids 4 Kids 5K Run/Walk and “All Star” Carnival. Coming to L.A. LIVE on April 25, the 5K RUN/WALK will feature Finish Line entertainment, rides and game booths staffed by celebrities and athletes.

This year’s youth celebrities are: Brennan Bailey of “My Sister’s Keeper;” Preston Bailey of “Dexter;” Madisen Beaty of Lifetime’s “The Pregnancy Pact” and “iCarly;” Zach Callison of the Class of “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader;” Jillian Clare of “Miss Behave;” Brett Del Buono, who stars in “Let Me In;” Sammi Hanratty of “An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong;” Actor/Singer/Songwriter Madisen Hill; Comedian/Actor Drake Kemper of two upcoming films “Beautiful Boy” and “A Fighting Chance;” Raymond Ochoa of “Hank;” Ryan Ochoa of “The Perfect Game” and “iCarly;” Alexandra Rose Rieger of “Akeelah and the Bee;” Jennessa Rose, whose voice can be heard in more than twenty feature films; Julianna Rose of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid;” Brandon Tyler Russell of “SMITTY;” Actor/Singer/Songwriter Tyler Shamy; Jenna Stone of “Rock the House” and “Miss Behave;” Jamison Tate of “Miss Behave;” Eva Louise Thompson of “Saving Grace B. Jones;” and Mariah Wilson of DREAMGIRLS.”

“The Kids 4 Kids 5k RUN/WALK and “All Star” Carnival is meant to give the ‘KID’ in all of us a memorable experience while helping kids with cancer,” said Matti Contopulos, founder and president of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. “This spectacular event is meant to create a Happier and Healthier future for all children.”

“The Kids 4 Kids Run/Walkempowers participants of all ages to take immediate action to help find a cure while bringing together friends and family for a fun day of activity and entertainment,” said Contopulos, who encourages everyone to come out and take BIG steps to de”FEET” cancer.

The event will take place at L.A. LIVE (across from STAPLES Center) on Chick Hearn Court, at the corner of 11th and Figueroa. Eventregistration begins at 8:00 a.m. while Radio Disney Warm-Up takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. Race begins at 10:00 a.m. “All Star” Carnival opens at 10:30 a.m. Yum 4 My Tum Food Court opens at 11:00 a.m.

Established in 1987, CCRF is dedicated to providing national support for clinical research in pediatric cancer, while improving the medical environment for all children. A Healthier and Happier tomorrow is the mission and promise of Children's Cancer Research Fund to children and their parents everywhere. Monies raised from the event will fund art supplies for a pediatric playroom at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and at County USC Hospital and new grants in clinical research in pediatric oncology.
