"A Tale of Sleeping Beauty" is coming alive in Sierra Madre in April! The second in a series of four participation children's plays, this lively and colorful musical is unique as the children in the audience are invited to play parts, sing, interact with the characters, and meet them after the show for a autographs and hugs. A truly unforgettable experience especially being hugged by a giant or princess.
This magical performance stars Sheridan Cole as the imperial and bossy Queen, Scott Dewey as the doom and gloom King. Michael Evans, a surprisingly gentle Giant, Ron Johnston is a stately Palace Guard, Tatiana Cantu is the beautiful Princess, Jack Lamb plays our courageous and handsome Prince, Lisa Mayo is the frenzied Mayor, and Bonnie Shipston as the scary evil Fairy. Don't be surprised if you see these characters walking through the village and waving at you. (Secret be told, the actors love this experience as much as the kids!)
Produced by June Chandler and the Sierra Madre Playhouse "A Tale of Sleeping Beauty" opens Saturday, April 10th at 2:00 pm. Subsequent performances will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturdays April 17th, May 1st and May 8th. Be sure to make reservations by contacting (626) 355-4318. Adults $18 and children under 12 are $12.
