Sonata Arctica coming to SoCal April 23 and 24

Known for their energetic live shows complete with audience sing-alongs, Finland's SONATA ARCTICA have brought their brand of intricate, high-speed metal to the western side of the globe in support of their latest album, The Days Of Grays. Opening all shows will be Mutiny Within and Powerglove.

Formed in Finland in 1996, SONATA ARCTICA's career is filled with eye-raising accomplishments, among them being voted "Best Newcomer" by the Finnish Recording Industry Association in 2001; their second album, Silence, going Gold in Finland; by-passing Eminem on the Finnish singles chart in 2003 and landing the #1 spot with "Victoria's Secret" off of their third album, Winterheart's Guild (a Top 10 album in their homeland); opening for Iron Maiden in Europe; and landing another #1 single with "Don't Say A Word" from 2004’s Reckoning Night, which went Gold in Finland and sold over 100,000 copies worldwide. The song "Paid In Full" from 2007’s Unia secured the #1 Single slot in their native land.
