Created by South Bay based innovator, marketer and musician Kris Wiley, Women of the Green Generation was formed in spring of 2009 to bring together Los Angeles area women interested in starting or expanding their environmentally driven businesses. The group was an immediate success attracting dozens of women to monthly events and generating media coverage in the Los Angeles Times, CNN, and numerous blogs.

Creating a day-long event was always a goal of Wiley’s. She noted, “While our monthly events have been a great success, I always knew that an all day event would really cement WOTGG’s status as the premier green women’s networking group. With a full day to connect and schmooze, the attendees will not only learn how to maximize their green businesses and lives, but will truly connect with one another in a deeply meaningful way.”

Due to the event’s downtown location attendees are encouraged to used sustainable transportation options to the event. To aid in this Rebecca Harrell Tickell and Josh Tickell, the producer and director of Fuel will offer guests the option of riding to the event on their big green algae fueled bus from a Santa Monica meeting point that will be announced. Other sustainable transit options include taking the Metro rail to the blue line stop at the Pico station, just two blocks away from Evo. All attendees who either bus it, bike it, or carpool it to the event will get a free DVD copy of Fuel.

Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as space is limited. Tickets are $50 if purchased prior to June 7th, 2010. After June 7th - tickets will be $75. Tickets can be purchased at
