Book sale in Sierra Madre Oct. 1 and 2

Nestled between the lazy days of summer and the chilly days of autumn is the time when the days are sunny and warm, but the nights are crisp and cool. What a perfect time to nestle up with a hot drink and an inviting book.

Isn’t it nice to know the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library regularly offer up wonderful deals on the purchase of books. We’re holding our October Best Used Book Sale on Friday, October 1st 3pm to 7pm, and Saturday October 2nd 10am to 2pm. The sale will be located at the Sierra Madre Public Library, 440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd in Sierra Madre.

Don’t miss a perfect opportunity to shop early for your Holiday Gifts. You are invited to browse inside and outside the Library for beautiful Coffee Table books which, we might add, make excellent gifts.

For the Architecture lover - a set of books by Frank Lloyd Wright is available. To the Mystery lover - a set of books by J. D. Robb. Spending time in the kitchen this autumn season? Come peruse our grand selection of specialty cookbooks. Other choice finds include Christmas Books, Art Books, Craft Books, and Books on American West and Southwest.

Outside will be Hardback Fiction/Nonfiction selections for $1.00 each. Paperbacks are only 25 cents each (5 for $1.00.)

And always exciting is a new selection of children’s books

All sale proceeds benefit Sierra Madre Library Programs.

Call (626) 355-7186 for information.

Stop by early for the best finds. And remember, the library exists to serve the needs of you and your family. We are here for you.
