Dengue Fever songwriter and guitarist Zac Holtzman shares is 5 favorite silent films to get you in the mood:

1. M - Peter Lori was perfectly cast.

2. Faust - I love the smoky special effects that skim over the Earth and fly through time

3. Nanook of the North -So sad that this Eskimo family was starving to death while this doc had its run through the theatres.

4. Greed - This one is so long it should count as three films. This one reminds me of a short story by Dostievsky called "how much land does a man need?"

5. The Lost World - Made by the same animators that did King Kong! My favorite labor intensive special effects ever.
