Art Center College of Design offers teen classes beginning Saturday

TEENS HONE ARTISTIC TALENTS
AT ART CENTER COLLEGE OF DESIGN
Fall Term Classes Begin on October 2

WHAT: Saturday High offers a rich curriculum that helps students in grades 9 through 12 become better artists, designers, and thinkers. These courses mirror the diverse disciplines taught at the College and reflect the College’s founding educational philosophy. Saturday High students learn from a distinguished faculty of professional artists and designers who share their personal stories, professional experiences, and best practices with their students. The faculty also engages students in discussions about career opportunities in art and design.

Saturday High courses, which range in subject from painting and figure drawing to graphic design and 3D modeling for gaming, are designed for beginners as well as for more advanced students. Some students take the same course more than once, while others explore many different classes. In addition, during the fall term only, Getting Noticed, a portfolio development class helpful to high school seniors applying to art schools is offered, as well as Design 360°, a great beginning class that introduces students to every major offered at Art Center through lectures and design projects. This class is ideal for students who are interested in art and design but not sure which major is for them.

Registration for available classes runs through October 1, but classes fill quickly. For more information on registration, please visit www.artcenter.edu/sat.
