Celebrity poker to benefit Children's Institute in Commerce in October

Celebrities and other high profile guests will wage their bets on Saturday afternoon, October 23, 2010, at the Commerce Casino, in support of Children’s Institute, Inc.’s (CII) work with children who are affected by community and family violence.

Top players have a chance to win a cash prize pool totaling more than $15,500, a seat at the 2011 World Poker Tour® Celebrity Invitational (priceless) and more.

WHO: Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Camryn Manheim will return as host of CII’s “Second Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament.” Manheim will be joined by other celebrities who have a passion to support families in need. Celebs who have already signed on include: Jason Alexander, Sean Astin, Hank Azaria, Brandon Beemer, Gabrielle Carteris, Ken Davitian, Joely Fisher, Edie Gathegi, Deirdre Hall, Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Cheryl Hines, Jamie Kennedy, Ricki Lake, Jesse Metcalfe, Kathy Najimy, Kevin Nealon, Erik Palladino, Mimi Rogers, Sara Rue, Tuc Watkins, as well as friends of Children’s Institute.
