Sunglass Hut launches fashion blogger contest

Sunglass Hut, a leading global sunglass retailer, today announced at a press conference held at New York Fashion Week the launch of Full Time Fabulous, a nationwide contest that offers the opportunity to win the ultimate dream job as a jet-setting style blogger for SunglassHut.com. As the blogger for Sunglass Hut, the Full Time Fabulous winner will gain unrivaled access to the heart of style and fashion. For one year, the Full Time Fabulous blogger will live in a chic, fully-furnished apartment in New York, attend high profile fashion week events, receive a generous clothing allowance, and socialize with designers, models and celebrities. In addition to providing a $100,000 compensation, Sunglass Hut will cover all travel and expenses.

Utilizing the Full Time Fabulous contest, we plan to identify a world class blogger who can bring our brand DNA to life online.”

In order to enter the Full Time Fabulous contest, entrants must submit a 60-second video explaining why they would be the perfect individual for the job. The contest entry period is open between October 1, 2010 and October 27, 2010 at SunglassHut.com/Fabulous. Nine finalists will be selected by a panel of fashion judges, and a tenth finalist will be selected by voters on SunglassHut.com. All of the finalists will then be tasked to demonstrate their blogging skills over a four week period – December 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010, during which SunglassHut.com readers and the panel of judges will determine the perfect individual for the job. The winner will be announced on or about January 10, 2011 and their first assignment will begin with coverage of New York Fashion Week in February 2011.
