Last week, Columbia Records/Nickelodeon announced that Big Time Rush will hit the road beginning late February 2012 for the “Better With U Tour.” Fans will be able to see the music and TV sensations, on hiatus from their hit series, as they embark on their first-ever headlining multi-city concert tour performing new songs in support of their album, Elevate, out Nov. 21. Big Time Rush will begin their electrifying tour in Las Vegas and will travel to major cities including a Los Angeles stop at Gibson Amphitheatre on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
Tickets for Big Time Rush’s Gibson Amphitheatre show will go on sale Saturday, November 19th at 10 AM. They will be available at LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster.com, at select Live Nation and Ticketmaster retail outlets, plus via Charge-By-Phone (800.745.3000). The band has also teamed with VIP Nation to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages for the tour, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, parties and more. Elevate is the highly anticipated follow-up to the group’s debut, 2010’s gold-certified BTR, which has scanned over 1 million albums worldwide. To date, Big Time Rush – Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson – have sold over 3 million combined digital tracks worldwide.
"We can't wait to go on the road for our "Better With U" tour,” said Big Time Rush. “We are so excited to perform songs off our new album for our fans."
Now in its second season, Big Time Rush – which follows four best friends from Minnesota who trade in their hockey sticks for music superstardom in Los Angeles -- averages 4.1 million total viewers (+9%, over season one). The launch of the hit series on Nickelodeon drew 6.8 million viewers, making it the most watched live-action series premiere in the network’s history.
The group’s social media profile has risen just as quickly, with an online community of almost 400,000 Twitter followers and more than 2.3 million Facebook users.
