Author, actor and comedian, Russell Brand announced via Facebook that he and Sarah Silverman will hold a show on Sunday, December 11th at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre (3790 Wilshire Blvd). In lieu of payment for tickets, Brand is asking that every attendee donate two hours of service to one of the following six charities:
-Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles:
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles strives to eliminate substandard housing through advocacy, education and partnership with families and individuals in need to build sustainable and affordable housing.

-Friendly House:
Friendly House LA is the oldest women’s recovery living home in the US, providing a safe harbor for women suffering from the destruction of alcoholism and drug abuse.

-The Art of Elysium
The Art of Elysium encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. They provide artistic workshops in the following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.

-Los Angeles Food Bank:
The Los Angeles Food Bank provides food for thousands of hungry people every week. Volunteers are currently needed for their Holiday Food Drive Sort-A-Thon Project which sorts more than 8,000 lbs a day of food that is donated through drives and supermarket chains.
