Pasadena Cheeseburger Week Jan. 15-20

Ever wonder how a sushi restaurant would interpret the cheeseburger? Want to know who makes the best traditional cheeseburger in the home of the cheeseburger? Where can you find the best gastropub burger in Pasadena? Who has your favorite middle eastern flavored burger?

You can help celebrate the birth of the cheeseburger in the home of the Cheeseburger: Pasadena, California. From January 15 -20, 2012, the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Pasadena Cheeseburger Week at many restaurants throughout the area.

Lionel Sternberger’s mid-1920s grill error at Pasadena’s Rite Spot Cafe gave birth to the cheeseburger, a world favorite. During Pasadena Cheeseburger Week, people can see how some of Pasadena’s best restaurants and burger joints interpret the American menu classic.

Noir Food and Wine, CREPEstudio, Lovebirds Cafe and Kings Row Gastropub join Pie ‘n Burger, a/k/a: an American bistro, The Counter, Burger Continental, Toro Sushi, Magnolia Lounge, Vertical Wine Bistro, El Portal and many others are offering cheeseburgers and cheeseburger-inspired dishes. The public is encouraged to try them all and vote for your favorite with the Cheeseburger Week online poll during Pasadena Cheeseburger Week.

Special menus, deals and discoveries can be found online at www.pasadenarestaurantweek.com.

Pasadena Cheeseburger Week is sponsored by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce with support from the City of Pasadena and is a California Restaurant Month event.
