Pasadena Digital History Collaboration seeks your windstorm photos and videos

The Pasadena Digital History Collaboration invites the community to share photos and/or videos from the hurricane-force windstorm that swept through Pasadena Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Digital images can be submitted via www.flickr.com/groups/pasadenadigitalhistory. The website is free to join. Upload images to your own Flickr account and include as much information as possible, such as locations, dates, times, names, etc. Once photos are published to your own account, share that image under Discussion Topic: Pasadena Windstorm 2011. Detailed instructions are available at www.flickr.com/help/groups.

If you don’t have a Flickr account, e-mail your photos to pplarchives@cityofpasadena.net. Include your name and the date, location and description of each image submitted.

By submitting your photos on the website or via e-mail, you agree to allow PDHC to publish them online.

The Pasadena Digital History Collaboration is a consortium of institutions including Pasadena Public Library, Pasadena Museum of History, Shatford Library at Pasadena City College and The Huntington Library. The website www.pasadenadigitalhistory.com brings local history to life by providing access to the largest collection of digitized photo archives in Pasadena.

For more information contact Martha Camacho, Pasadena Public Library research librarian, at (626) 744-4279 or info@pasadenadigitalhistory.com.
