Hey blues harp lovers,
This is a great month, full of new beginnings : Fri April 20th I'll be at Renaissance Dana Pt starting 8pm with the trusty HAMMER SMITH BAND trio of myself , Bill Sotelo bass, guitar and vocals and Mike Lopez.
It's our first time at this mainstay Orange County venue and I'm really looking forward to it
Sat . April 21st slide guitarist extradordinaire Mark Shark and I will begin our adventures as cosmic blues duo-lol @ Covina's Fret House 8pm , an intimate concert setting ala McCabes's in Santa Monica. Tickets are $15.00 and a great time is guaranteed . Mark and I both teach at Blvd Music in Culver City (we'll be performing there June 9th). Classes start the 3rd week of this month. My beginning blues harp class Tues April 17th 8pm.
Last, but far from least my one L.A. gig this month : Sun 4/29 @ 3pm I'll be doing an acoustic blues duo with John O' Kennedy (slide guitar master) @ Westwood Music Center 1627 Westwood LA 90024 310-478-4251 . This is a very family friendly environment and time slot . Tickets are $20.00 and advance purchase is recommended due to the venue size ( 70 max) to assure getting a seat .
Next door is 5 star restaurant La. Brushetta Italian restaurant for after the show and I'm working on a show, dinner package with them. There's ample parking in the lot south of the center.This WILL be a ROCKIN ' show and will mark my start there as teacher as well.
