Mignon Faget is preparing for the Festival season with the addition of a new High Note T-shirt to her beloved High Note jewelry designs and High Note Umbrella.
Mignon Faget, New Orleans artist and jewelry designer, began her design career over forty years ago with designs inspired by the nature, architecture and history of her home. The High Note Collection features the new High Note t-shirt, the High Note Umbrella and sterling silver, 14K gold or enamel plated musical notes engraved with the fleur de lis, the symbol of our city. On the back of each note is in inscribed “Do you know what it means…” from the classic New Orleans jazz number Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?
“The Jazz & Heritage Festival is a time when we celebrate our strength and diversity through artistic expression and the High Note Collection reflects that.”
In celebration of music and in support of our community, Mignon will donate a percentage of sales of all High Note designs to The Roots of Music. The Roots of Music is dedicated to supporting, promoting, teaching and protecting at-risk youth through music education, academic support and mentorship, while preserving and promoting the New Orleans musical heritage. The Roots of Music is New Orleans’ only tuition free, city-wide marching band and has been selected to march in the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1st, 2013.
Mignon Faget’s High Note collection is available in Mignon Faget galleries in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and online at http://www.mignonfaget.com/.
