The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is pleased to announce a host of fun summertime programs and activities for guests. From a new kids program including special children’s amenities, spa offerings and cooking classes, to a revamped poolside menu, featuring BBQ favorites and hand-crafted cocktails, The Langham has something for everyone in the family to enjoy this summer!
Summertime Poolside Offerings
Chef de Cuisine Erik Schuster has developed a mouthwatering BBQ menu for the summer, available Thursday through Sunday at The Terrace restaurant and outdoors near the pool. The menu is comprised of upscale comfort food showcasing gourmet and approachable BBQ dishes, perfect for the whole family to enjoy. On Saturday nights, the BBQ menu will also include a Cuban-inspired dish called Pig Roast la Caja China which features the slow roasting of a whole pig over the course of several hours.
The BBQ Menu includes: Beer Can Chicken; BBQ Root Beer Ribs; Grilled Fish Tacos; Grilled Hot Dogs; Grilled Burgers; and Pig Roast la Caja China (Saturday nights only). Sides include: Smashed Potatoes; Grilled Sweet Corn; Chilled Watermelon; Coleslaw. Desserts include: Assorted Ice Cream; House-Made Ice “Pops” in child and adult flavors; Strawberry Short Cake; and Cobbler. The BBQ menu is available from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Other food and drink options are available at the pool daily, including new, refreshing and handcrafted cocktails featuring organic ingredients from the hotel’s organic garden, such as a Pomegranate Açai Lemonade, a Skinny Margarita and a St. Germain cocktail.
In addition to dining offerings, the hotel’s Huntington Spa is pleased to offer an array of alfresco spa treatments that can be enjoyed in a private cabana or while lounging by the pool. Guests can indulge in a 60-minute Huntington Signature Massage ($190) or a 30-minute “Back to Basics” Chair Massage ($140) in a pool cabana. Sun lovers who prefer to be pampered in their chaise lounge chair will have their choice of a 30-minute Foot Reflexology massage ($140); a Moroccan Oil Poolside Hair Protection treatment ($75); or polish change for the hands and feet ($45). The Langham Kids Program
Junior guests staying at the hotel will be thrilled with a fun-filled The Langham Kids program, available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. As part of the program, for just $15 children 12 and under will receive:

Summer Sweets & Treats with Chef John Quinn, CEPC
The hotel is also pleased to offer a special series of pastry classes just for kids! $60 per child includes two hours of cooking instruction, recipe preparation, baking techniques and pastry presentation. · Saturday, July 7 – Flavors of the 4th – Kids will celebrate Independence Day with red, white and blue cookies and they will learn to decorate with fondant and royal icing.
· Saturday, September 1 – Creative Cake Pops! – Learn the art of making cake pops in a variety of flavors with different frostings and toppings. Kids will love these mini treats!
Feast with Féau Brunches
On Sunday July 8 and Sunday September 2, Chef David Féau will present unique three course brunch menus showcasing seasonal ingredients from the farmer’s market and The Royce’s organic garden. Offered 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for $75 per person.
Wine Tasting Experiences
Royce Manager and Director of Wine Eric Espuny is pleased to present a series of wine tasting classes this summer where guests will get to taste the best seasonal wine and focus on particular regions/varietals. Guests will also learn tips for ordering and buying wine. Classes begin at noon.
· Saturday, July 7 – Rosés, Provence. Priced at $45 per person.
· Saturday, September 1 – Domaine de la Romanée-Conti: Vintage 2009
The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) estate in Burgundy, France, is widely considered among the world’s greatest wine producers and DRC bottles are some of the world’s most coveted. The tasting will feature the following Grand Crus: Echezeaux, Grand Echezeaux, Richebourg, and La Tache. Tasting begins at noon. Priced at $500 per person, including tax and gratuity. Advance reservations are required and available beginning July 17. Space is limited to just 20 people.
Live Jazz all Summer in The Tap Room
The Langham will also offer complimentary live jazz in The Tap Room every Thursday night this summer beginning at 6:00 p.m. Music will include Brazilian jazz, New Orleans jazz and other styles.
