We are doing our 'Cows For Christmas' holiday fundraiser again this year. Last year we raised enough to send three dairy cows and two goats to some very poor and very deserving families. This year we are hoping to double that. This is the sort of charity that really appeals to me. These cows and goats are not only a food source, but become part of a community's journey toward independence and financial security. www.heifer.org
Our main campaign will be over social media, but we thought it would be nice to kick off the drive with a little bit of music. So come on out to Pasadena a week from Saturday, and schmooze with some good folks, while setting a tone of giving for the Holiday season.
The line-up is coming together. So far we Lisa O'Kane, The Dale LaDuke Band, Lorin Hart, Duane Thorin and a set featuring myself and Annie Boxell and members of both our bands. This will be a fun night. We're starting early, 6pm, and will have time for refreshments and lots of socializing. If you play an intrument, bring it allong. We'll have a song-circle after the show.
