Jim Ringer and Mary McCaslin were a strong presence in the folk music scene of the 1970's and 80's, especially in San Bernardino where they lived for a time and where I grew up. They recorded for the legendary Folk label Philo and toured the U.S. and Canada. Jim passed away in 1992 and Mary has continued her career. Mary and I will both be doing a solo set at these shows, then I'll be filling in for Jim, and Mary and I will be singing some of the songs she and Jim sang together.
