Star Trek and Sci-Fi Summit in Burbank Feb. 15-17

Sci-fi fans around the world will converge at Creation Entertainment’s Grand Slam Convention:  The Star Trek and Sci-Fi Summit from Friday through Sunday, February 15-17, at the Burbank Marriott Airport Marriott, 2500 Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91515.  This three-day event will feature a vast assortment of celebrities new and vintage sci-fi an genre TV and films from Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, Fringe, Grimm, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, Smallville, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Farscape and more. Show hours are Friday, 2:00 –7:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7 PM and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (all are tentative at this time). 
 
Friday, February 15, will feature from classic Tron, Heroes and Babylon 5’s Bruce Boxleitner; Star Trek Enterprise’s Dominic Keating (Lt. Reed) andConnor Trinneer (Trip); Star Trek Deep Space Nine’s  Jeffrey Combs(Weyon/Brunt),  Armin Shimermin (Quark) and Rene Auberjonois (Odo).

On Saturday, February 16, will be internationally renowned actor Sir Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Captain Picard), plus Star Trek: Next Generation’s  LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge) and Michael Dorn(Worf); Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s James Marsters (Spike) and Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert); Being Human’s Sam Witwer (Aidan); MTV’sTeen Wolf’s Tyler Posey (Scott McCall);  and Fringe’s Jasika Nicole(Astrid Farnsworth).

The excitement will be turned up on Saturday night, 9 PM, as the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation come together for a special 90 minute reunion event.  This evening show will include Sir Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, and Marina Sirtis A separate ticket is required and starts at $45.

On Sunday, February 17, a special sci-fi line-up will include:  the star of GrimDavid Giuntoli (Nick Burkhardt); Star Trek The Next Generation’sJonathan Frakes (Commander Riker), Brent Spiner (Data), Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher) and Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi); Star Trek: Voyager’s  Robert Picardo (Voyager’s The Doctor); and the star fromFarscape, Ben Browder (John Crichton).
 
In addition to superstar appearances, the non-stop auditorium show will include behind the scenes presentations, costume and trivia contests, no-minimum bid auctions of unique collectibles and one-of-a-kind items, and special salute videos and previews of upcoming sci-fi television shows and motion pictures.
 
In the Creation autograph room, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with and get autographs from a variety of notable sci-fi media guest stars from a variety of Star Trek and sci-fi favorites.
 
The exhibit hall will feature major companies and distributors selling and displaying sci-fi collectibles from across the galaxy.
 
Attendees can get a photo taken with an attending celebrity, on 8 X 10 glossy, by a professional photographer. This convention souvenir can be purchased in advance or at the convention and price includes development and shipping (if you can’t pick up at the convention).  Celebrity participants include Sir Patrick Stewart, James Marsters, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Bruce Boxleitner, Hallie Todd, Don Stark, and many more.  A limited number will be made available for each celebrity.
 
General admission tickets will be available at the door for $20 on Friday and $25 on Saturday and Sunday.  Tickets for Children 6 to 12 are $15 each day and kids under 6 are free.  Show hours are on Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday, 10:00 AM -7:00 PM (times are tentative).
