Fashion fun to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Giving to a great cause is as simple as trying on a pair of pants. That's the idea behind national women's apparel retailer Coldwater Creek's October fundraiser, "Try It On for the Cure™ - The right pants, the right fit." This event benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Los Angeles Affiliate and their vision of a world without breast cancer.
Try It On for the Cure™ is easy and fun: From October 10th through October 14th, Coldwater Creek will donate $1 to the Komen Los Angeles Affiliate for every shopper who tries on pants in the dressing room at Coldwater Creek's stores: Fashion Square-Sherman Oaks, The Shops on Lake Avenue, The Avenue of the Peninsula, Westfield Topanga, The Oaks, and Simi Valley Town Center. No purchase is necessary.
To kick off the Try It On for the Cure™ event, Coldwater Creek employees nationwide will be celebrating their 2nd annual Passionately Pink for the Cure Day on October 10th. Over 10,000 employees will be wearing pink T-shirts in celebration of the company's commitment to Komen.
"Try It On for the Cure™ is such a simple, fun way to involve our shoppers with Komen," said Ann Johnson, the Komen Projects Manager at Coldwater Creek. "We do the giving – shoppers just have to try on a pair of pants."
Coldwater Creek introduced their new Perfect Pant Fit program this fall, unveiling a beautiful new selection of pant fits that pay close attention to what women want in a perfect pair: fit, style, fabric and color. And best of all, every pant silhouette features the Invisible Comfort™ hidden elastic waistband that Coldwater Creek customers love. In addition, Coldwater Creek has a new Personal Shopper program underway that allows customers to further personalize their shopping experience. Ask a store associate for details.
In an exciting new partnership launched this year, Coldwater Creek will be joined in celebrating Passionately Pink Day on October 10th with other National Race Sponsors including Yoplait, New Balance, Energizer and ReMax. Together, the corporate Komen Race sponsors hope to strengthen their message of breast cancer awareness.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. Today, the Foundation is an international organization with a network of more than 75,000 volunteers working through local Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure® to end breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
