The Meanest Of Times release in July marked the bands highest chart debut ever when it entered the Billboard Top 200 at #20 and is their fastest selling record to date as its already sold over 100,000 copies. For the first time in their career, the Murphys have become a critics band as their unique brand of classic punk rock, Celtic folk and American rock'n'roll seems to have struck a chord with even the savviest of writers. The Meanest Of Times was #40 on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums Of The Year and "The State Of Massachusetts" came in at #83 on their Top 100 Singles of the year! The band performed at Game 7 of the ALCS on the field at Fenway Park which then led to another Red Sox victory, the Sox are now 6-0 when the DKM's play Fenway before the game!
