CHIODOS announce surprise show
at The Glass House in Pomona
Monday, March 3
CHIODOS are not known for “taking it easy.” What was supposed to be a day off on their tour with Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria (hitting the Staples Center tomorrow, March 4) has turned into a chance for the band’s devoted fans to see them one more time as they announce a surprise headlining show at The Glass House in Pomona. The band will also return to SoCal for the Bamboozle Left next month.
CHIODOS released their sophomore album Bone Palace Ballet in September which debuted at #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart and their live show has flourished as a result of non-stop touring. Be it the goth-tinged wallop of first single and video “Lexington (Joey Pea-Pot with a Monkey Face)” or the roaring “Bulls Make Money, Bears Make Money, Pigs Get Slaughtered,” the sextet makes brilliant post-hardcore music that sounds innovative.
Critical accolades have been building for the band, including coverage in the New York Times, an Alternative Press cover story and a Blender feature. Of the live show, Blender says “When (lead singer Craig) Owens takes the stage, he’s virtuosic. He flails, rooster-struts and raises his fists like a warrior vowing revenge.”
