THE COLOR FRED RETURNS TO THE LOS ANGELES-AREA
--featuring former Taking Back Sunday lead guitarist/co-vocalist Fred Mascherino--
March 12 & 14 - House of Blues Anaheim
March 15 - The Wiltern
April 6 - The Bamboozle Left
THE COLOR FRED--the solo project from former Taking Back Sunday lead guitarist/co-vocalist Fred Mascherino--is returning to the Los Angeles-area for a series of shows with Angels & Airwaves and then again for the Bamboozle Left in April.
Critical praise for the instantly infectious debut album Bend to Break (Equal Vision)--produced by Lou Giordano (Paul Westerberg, Sunny Day Real Estate)--has been building since released in the fall. Alternative Press wrote: “The songs on his debut…take a straight-forward rock route, driving through catchy guitar riffs, memorable choruses and thoughtful lyrics.” Outburn added “Mascherino’s musical virtuosity is impressive...”
The outside of the CD is noteworthy as well as the music on the inside. The green-conscious Mascherino had the finished CD packaged with a case made of 90% recycled plastic, booklet made of 100% recycled material, and an inlay tray made of biodegradable cornstarch, making him one of the first artists to actively address the issue of waste created by packaging.
