Support local music with Sierra Madre Sue

I've been meaning to do this for almost a year now, and with the fire still burning in the mountains above Sierra Madre, now's as good a time as any. Last year marked 10 years that I've lived in my current home and it was in serious need of some updating, both for cosmetic purposes and safety issues. My old wood shingle roof was a fire hazard, and fewer and fewer insurance companies would even consider selling me coverage! Not knowing any roofers personally, I started asking around, and kept hearing the same name: DAN RAMOS. Then I realized they were talking about Danny Ramos - he grew up in Sierra Madre, lives in Arcadia now, and I see him around town all the time - "oh THAT guy!" (You can see who I mean in this week's photo.) Well, 4 estimates and several more postitive recommendations later, he was my guy. He was extremely professional, punctual, reliable and did great work. There were no surprises or cost increases, and he and his guys cleaned up after themselves at the end of everyday - something I truly appreciated! So take it from me - if you need a new roof, call DANNY RAMOS/COMP ONLY ROOFING at 626-574-7049.

What does this have to do with music? Nothing! Consider it a public service announcement regarding home fire safety and a plug for a hard-working local contractor and friend. Now, on with the Music News...
