Cambodian-American psychedelic rock band Dengue Fever will be headlining the Schooled In Song II festival in Long Beach on Sunday, October 5 at 9 pm on the main stage at 1st & Linden.
It’s a free, all-ages show, so come on out and boogie!
2008 has been the year Dengue Fever has gone from being a great local indie scene band to an international name. They spent the summer playing some of Europe’s biggest festivals, signed with Peter Gabriel’s Real World label for distribution in the UK and Europe; and, in a couple of weeks, HBO’s new series “True Blood” will air an episode entitled “Escape From Dragon House” named after Dengue Fever’s 2005 album (someone on staff is obviously a fan!)
