All Ages and Skill Levels Learn The 4 Elements of Hip Hop
What: J.U.I.C.E (Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy) hosts the FINAL Ford Amphitheatre J.A.M. Session Series with "Hip Hop Ya Don't Stop!" a two hour workshop for dancers of all ages and skill levels, focusing on the four elements of hip hop: Breakdance, Emceeing/Spoken Word, Deejaying and Graffiti Art. J.U.I.C.E. will be bringing their weekly hip hop arts program located in the Rampart District of Los Angeles, to share with a larger audience in the Hollywood Hills.
Who: Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy (J.U.i.C.E.), is a project of Community Partners, is a non-profit weekly hip hop arts program that seeks to develop youth leadership and technical skills, creative expression and self-confidence through the artistic elements of hip hop which include breakdancing, urban art, deejaying, emceeing/spoken word and music recording. The organization was founded in 2001 and teaches visual arts workshops, large-scale and legal graffiti mural painting, how to record and produce music, emceeing, and the bboy/bgirl dance style on a large hardwood floor to live DJs.
J.U.i.C.E. encourages the creative expression and self-empowerment of at-risk youth through skill-building and by providing youth with high-quality equipment, artistic mentors and a safe, accessible space to gather. J.U.i.C.E. participants from all walks of life, are able to learn from each other and hone their artistic skills in an environment free from discrimination and violence.

The "Jazzed and Motivated" J.A.M. Session events are part of the Ford Amphitheatre 2008 Season, a multi-disciplinary arts series produced by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission in cooperation with Los Angeles County-based arts organizations. Presented by the Ford Theatre Foundation, these sessions are designed to channel participant's creative energies and release the artist within.
