In a first, NPR Music is webcasting a complete concert from Radiohead, offering the entire show for free streaming and as a podcast beginning Monday, September 8 at noon at www.NPR.org/music The 2-hour concert was recorded live at the Santa Barbara Bowl on August 28, the final night of the band’s In Rainbows U.S. tour. NPR Music will also feature a slideshow taken during the performance, and interviews with the band’s sound engineer and production manager.
Announcing NPR’s webcast on the All Songs Considered blog, www.NPR.org/allsongs, host Bob Boilen writes: “When I think of the best concert I’ve seen, I always flash back to Pink Floyd in early 1972… Radiohead’s show at the Santa Barbara Bowl came as close for musicianship and creativity as any show I’ve seen in 37 years. I’ve seen a lot of shows.”
During the webcast, Thom Yorke and his band play a 25 song set that includes much of 2007’s In Rainbows – “All I Need,” “Reckoner” and “15 Step,” among them – before revisiting hits like “The Bends,” “Paranoid Android,” “Morning Bell” and “Everything in its Right Place.”
In February 2008, Yorke played guest DJ on NPR’s All Songs Considered, sharing music from some of his favorite bands and lending insight into the music he creates. The entire show is available at: www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18960914

NPR Music also has dozens of original music podcasts.
