ABOUT THE SHOWCASE:
The Songsalive! Los Angeles Showcase features a new venue, a new date, and a new format! Songsalive returns to Hallenbeck's after a couple of years. Hallenbeck's is an well known venue for acoustic Los Angeles Songwriters and performers - they have a small stage with a great sound system, great food and drinks, it is family friendly too, with free parking on the street.

ARTISTS:
We have four performers who will be doing mini-sets in two rounds - so nice you hear them all twice! And we'll have a short intermission in the middle for food, stretching, and conversation.

The Conlons
Annette and Doug Conlon have been playing together (haha) for a long time. Music brought them together as a couple and they played their first gig singing harmonies more than 15 years ago. After many years of different musical pursuits they have decided to join forces again to lend vocal support to each other as well as dipping into each other's songwriting (forbidden territory!)

In a typical set you'll find Annette or Doug singing solo, harmonies and duets...the best of all worlds, and you'll see what brought these songbirds together.. a love of making music.. yes, and making music together. (okay.. a collective AWE, now!) New Bassist Brian LaFranchi honed his skills on the green streets of Seattle playing in pop rock band Half Dexter. Brian was a contributing writer and vocalist in Half Dexter. Brian's grounded sensibilities and mellow attitude combined with his sterling talent make him the perfect addition to the Conlons.

Liz Nash Sounds like a sexy Norah Jones. Received honorable mention in Billboard´s world song contest under jazz. Music featured in HBO. Good stage presence and faithful following. Has played in LA area at the Grove (main stage), Key Club, Room 5, Tangiers, Cafe Cordiale. www.myspace.com/liznash

Kadam
Born and bread in the hills of North Carolina, amidst the decedents of moonshiners, holy rollers and mountain drifters, Kádam has been submersed in music since his childhood. The picturesque Carolina backdrop of rolling hills, lush valleys and roaring rivers were the spring board for the art Kádam has strived to create. Often referred to as a musical rubix cube, Kádam has made an art form out of being musically obscure. A unique mix of Pop-Rock-Soul and Folk arm Kádam with something a little different than that of the artists that have risen over the past few years. Kádam has appeared on the same bill as EmmyLou Harris, Nickel Creek and Shelby Lynne.. just to name a few!!!
