The 88 to tour in support of new effort

Los Angeles based band The 88 (www.the88.net) announced today a West Coast tour beginning this November in support of their Island Records debut, Not Only… But Also out October 21, 2008 digitally and October 28, 2008 in stores.

The 88 have a busy holiday season coming this year. In addition to their major label debut release, The 88 kicks off their release week with a previously announced appearance on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic on Halloween. In quick succession, the band will then headline the Troubadour in Los Angeles for their record release show and then hit the road the next day for a West Coast Tour. Confirmed tour dates are:

The 88 have recently been making waves on television, continuing a trend they began on their prior releases. Just this month, The CW licensed tracks from the band's upcoming release for both 90210 ("Coming Home" from their season premier) and top-rated Gossip Girl ("It's A Lot"). Additional placements have been heard on ABC and ESPN bumpers for NASCAR, IRL and NHRA as well as online for Nike Women

ABOUT THE 88
Founded in Los Angeles in 2002, The 88 have released three albums – Kind of Light, Over and Over and the upcoming Not Only… But Also. The band is perhaps best known for their staggering 40+ music placements in film (Failure to Launch, You Me and Dupree), television (ABC's Grey's Anatomy, CBS' How I Met Your Mother) and advertising (Sears, Target) among others. Aside from extensive touring in North America, they have appeared on numerous national talk shows including Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call With Carson Daly. The 88 are lead singer/guitarist Keith Slettedahl, pianist Adam Merrin and drummer Anthony Zimmitti.
